🎨 As the Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers project "Art is a Scream of Freedom!" (Project Code: 2024-3-HU01-KA153-YOU-000265010) continued in Budapest, Hungary, FAKTOR a Jövő Közösségéért Egészségügyi és Sportegyesület guided participants through a series of educational and creative activities designed to strengthen mental health awareness in youth work. Bringing together youth workers from Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain, Latvia, and Türkiye, the project continued to demonstrate how international cooperation and non-formal education can generate innovative solutions to today's social challenges. 💙
One of the key themes of the programme focused on understanding depression from a broader European perspective. Participants examined current statistics, discussed the social and economic factors influencing mental health, and exchanged experiences from their respective countries. Interactive brainstorming sessions encouraged youth workers to identify practical strategies for supporting young people while reducing the stigma often associated with mental health issues. These discussions reinforced the project's objective of promoting informed, compassionate, and proactive youth work practices.
The educational programme was complemented by a variety of creative workshops that highlighted the therapeutic value of artistic expression. Participants explored different hobbies and creative techniques through painting, origami, puzzle-solving activities, and handmade jewellery workshops. Beyond developing artistic skills, these activities illustrated how creative engagement can improve emotional resilience, reduce stress, encourage self-expression, and strengthen interpersonal communication. By experiencing these methods firsthand, participants gained practical tools that can easily be adapted to local youth initiatives and community-based educational programmes.
✨ Through every discussion, workshop, and collaborative activity, FAKTOR a Jövő Közösségéért Egészségügyi és Sportegyesület continued to foster an inspiring learning environment where creativity and education worked hand in hand. The knowledge, practical methods, and international perspectives gained throughout the programme will support youth workers in developing more inclusive projects, promoting mental well-being, and extending the positive impact of the Erasmus+ Programme within their own communities.
