Practical learning became the focus of another productive day of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "Delicious Death" (Project Code: 2023-3-HU01-KA152-YOU-000174417) in Budapest, Hungary. Coordinated by FAKTOR a Jövő Közösségéért Egészségügyi és Sportegyesület.
Participants attended a seminar on organic food production, where experts explained the differences between organic and industrial agriculture, sustainable farming methods and the importance of choosing natural products whenever possible. This was followed by an engaging debate examining the relationship between fast food consumption and obesity, allowing participants to compare scientific evidence, challenge common misconceptions and exchange opinions in an open learning environment.
The educational programme then moved outside the training venue with visits to local farms, where participants observed responsible agricultural practices and learned how healthy ingredients are produced before reaching consumers. Throughout the visits, participants documented their experiences by filming interviews and collecting visual materials that would later become part of the project's awareness documentary. A language competition further strengthened intercultural communication, while the evening's cultural night celebrated the diversity of all participating countries.
These practical experiences demonstrated that healthy nutrition begins long before food reaches the table. By combining outdoor learning, teamwork and intercultural exchange, participants strengthened their environmental awareness, communication skills and appreciation for sustainable food systems, supporting the overall objectives of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange. 🌿
