🇭🇺 Budapest Hosts the Second Step of the Project

The second phase of the “On the Road to Freedom: Empowerment Against Addiction” Erasmus+ KA210-YOU project was successfully completed in Budapest, Hungary, between 4–7 March 2025, under the coordination of FAKTOR a Jövő Közösségéért Egészségügyi és Sportegyesület.

The event brought together participants from Türkiye, Romania, and Hungary, creating a dynamic environment for learning, sharing, and collaboration. A total of 20 participants took part — including 10 local participants from Hungary and 5 each from Türkiye and Romania.

The four-day program focused on raising awareness about addiction, personal development, and supportive group activities, encouraging participants to engage in interactive and experiential learning sessions.

Addiction Awareness Seminar

The event began with a seminar on addiction prevention, where participants explored the definition, stages, and widespread effects of addiction. Trainers discussed both the physical and psychological dimensions of addiction, emphasizing its social impact and the importance of early intervention.

This session provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of how addiction affects individuals and communities.

Workshops: Art, Sport, and Outdoor Activities

Following the seminar, a series of creative and physical workshops took place, allowing participants to explore alternative and healthy ways of self-expression.

Activities such as music and art therapy, dance, painting, sports, and outdoor exercises helped participants strengthen their creativity, physical health, and mental well-being.

These sessions highlighted how engaging in meaningful, positive activities can act as powerful protective factors against addiction.

Personal Development Sessions

Another key component of the training was personal development workshops, where participants worked on self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and communication skills.

The goal was to enhance individual resilience and coping mechanisms, helping young people manage stress and emotional challenges without turning to harmful substances.

Group Discussions and Support Circles

Several discussion sessions and peer-support circles were organized to encourage participants to share their experiences and perspectives.

These group activities promoted community spirit and mutual learning — reinforcing the idea that overcoming addiction requires collective awareness and cooperation.

Vision and Goal-Setting Workshop

On the final day, participants took part in a vision and goal-setting workshop. Guided by the trainers, they defined both personal and professional goals related to addiction prevention and mapped out the steps needed to achieve them.

This reflective activity helped participants translate what they had learned into practical, forward-looking action plans.

Evaluation and Closing Session

The event concluded with a final evaluation meeting, where participants reflected on their experiences, discussed what they had learned, and shared feedback.

The closing ceremony celebrated the commitment and enthusiasm of all participants, reinforcing the collective goal of fostering awareness and resilience among youth.

FAKTOR’s Reflections

As the Hungarian partner and host organization, FAKTOR a Jövő Közösségéért Egészségügyi és Sportegyesület is proud to have successfully implemented this meaningful stage of the project.

By combining education, creativity, and personal growth, the Budapest event played a vital role in empowering young people to make healthier choices and take an active role in the fight against addiction.

This step represented an important milestone in the broader journey of the “On the Road to Freedom: Empowerment Against Addiction” project — a journey dedicated to awareness, empowerment, and international cooperation.
