FAKTOR Community Health and Sport Association participated as the Hungarian partner in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "A New Epidemic: Obesity" (Project No. 2023-3-IT03-KA152-YOU-000174644), coordinated by Sports and Healthy Living Community in Rome, Italy, from 30 June to 6 July 2024. Daily physical activity remained a fundamental element of the programme through guided exercise sessions inspired by the Walk at Home methodology. By participating in structured walking and movement activities, participants experienced how regular exercise improves cardiovascular health, supports muscle development, increases energy levels, and contributes to long-term obesity prevention. Repetition of simple and enjoyable exercises demonstrated how healthy routines can gradually become lifelong habits that positively affect both physical and mental well-being.

The educational programme also included informative sessions exploring the relationship between healthy living, sport, and obesity. Through presentations supported by scientific evidence and discussions with sports professionals, participants gained a deeper understanding of how physical activity influences body health and reduces obesity-related risks. Interactive question-and-answer sessions encouraged participants to reflect on their own exercise habits, exchange ideas, and develop realistic strategies for maintaining healthier lifestyles.

Learning became more practical through meetings with professionals and stakeholders active in the field of health promotion. Participants explored successful initiatives related to obesity prevention, discussed the role of community action, and exchanged ideas on how young people can contribute to healthier societies. These activities strengthened communication skills, active participation, and awareness of the importance of cooperation between young people, organisations, and local communities.

Reflection and intercultural learning further enriched the experience. Participants evaluated their learning outcomes and recognised the competences they had gained through non-formal education. Cultural presentations and informal exchanges created opportunities for mutual understanding and strengthened friendships among participants from different countries. Through its participation in this Erasmus+ project, FAKTOR Community Health and Sport Association continues to support initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles, active citizenship, and intercultural cooperation across Europe.
