The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project "The Story of a String Storyteller" (Project No: 2023-1-ES02-KA152-YOU-000117032) continued with another productive day in Madrid/Alcobendas, Spain, where FAKTOR a Jövő Közösségéért Egészségügyi és Sportegyesület participated as one of the project's international partners.
The fourth day focused on employment opportunities and workplace accessibility for visually impaired individuals. Through presentations, discussions, and practical activities, participants explored the barriers that people with visual impairments often face when seeking employment and examined how inclusive recruitment and accessible working environments can contribute to equal opportunities.
Working in international teams, participants developed recommendations for employers, discussed examples of good practices from their own countries, and exchanged ideas on how public institutions, businesses, and civil society organizations can cooperate to eliminate discrimination in working life.
The Hungarian delegation from FAKTOR actively participated throughout the sessions, contributing to intercultural dialogue and collaborative problem-solving. The activities highlighted that creating an inclusive labour market requires not only supportive legislation but also awareness, empathy, and a willingness to recognize the abilities and potential of every individual.
The day concluded with reflection activities that encouraged participants to transform their newly acquired knowledge into concrete actions within their own communities, ensuring that the project's impact will continue long after the mobility has ended.
