The first activities of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project "No One Wants to Leave Home!" (Project No: 2023-1-AT01-KA152-YOU-000120405) officially began in Pflach, Austria, under the coordination of Verein für Gemeinwesenarbeit und Minderheitenintegration.
The opening day focused on helping participants become familiar with the project's objectives, programme, and learning environment. Following the introductory session, young people took part in interactive ice-breaking activities designed to strengthen communication, encourage teamwork, and establish trust among participants from different cultural backgrounds.
The programme also introduced participants to the Youthpass framework, highlighting the competences they would develop throughout the project and the importance of non-formal education within the Erasmus+ Programme. An Erasmus+ promotion activity further increased awareness of international mobility opportunities while presenting the project's mission of fostering empathy towards refugees and combating discrimination.
The day concluded with a reflection and evaluation session, where participants shared their first impressions and learning experiences. By creating a welcoming and respectful atmosphere from the very beginning, the project laid a strong foundation for meaningful intercultural cooperation and encouraged participants to approach the topic of forced migration with openness, empathy, and mutual respect. 💚
